EMOTIONAL HEALING
I tend to look on animals like children, in the sense that they would rather tell you the good things than the sad. Should you have a problem, then I can discuss this with them and start the healing process in the way that the animals want.
Although we are ethically bound not to diagnose, my background in veterinary nursing and horses does help me understand the physical symptoms and when to recognise the difference between behavioural and physical.
I communicated with a little dog and she showed me a heart problem, I asked the owners if they knew of anything and they said Yes, but she wont take the tablets. I could feel the enlarged heart and see the water, she showed me these tablets and then her having a wee, I recognised this as tablets to remove the fluid build up (a symptom of heart problem) being needed, she has been back to the vets and is back on her tablets, she tells me she feels a lot lighter, can breathe in a lot deeper and her owners are delighted, she knew she really did need them now.
I tend to look on this as pet counselling when needed, as we all know we sometimes carry “baggage” and just to tell someone makes you feel better, so this lets your pets unburden themselves and look forward instead of back. On the subject of “like children”, they can fib over things they consider childish, like weeing on the floor and blaming someone else, even though the owner saw them do it, whether its denial or embarrassment, you'll know by yours pets personality!
After chatting with your animal, if there is a problem, I will endeavour to help achieve a solution that can bring harmony and understanding to all concerned. Through direct communication, it has given me an insight into the way they think and what we take for granted that they would understand. An example of this is a cat that had been unhappy for quite a long time and they didn't know why. During our chat she kept showing me that picture of a tabby cat that was beating her up that was the other side of the patio doors. The owner pointed out that the patio doors were at their last house, but just because they had put her in a basket and travelled for half an hour, how was she supposed to know that they were actually 25 miles away and not just the other side of the side of the housing estate! After explaining this to her, she is now more relaxed and so is the owner!!
